ABD, MA (Art History) USC; BA (Psychology) UCLA. Art critic for several newspapers and magazines, including Sculpture Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Artweek, and London Art Newspaper.

Marlena has been teaching at Otis since Fall 1994.
