Rick Bursky, Senior Lecturer, Communication Arts Department

MFA (Creative Writing) Warren Wilson College; BFA (Photography) Art Center of Design. Award-winning writer and poet with an extensive list of publication credits. Awards include a gold pencil from The One Show and Cannes Lion. Associate Creative Director for DDB/LA. Previously with Asher & Partners, Basso & Associates, Evans/LA. Clients have included Wells Fargo Bank, Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, California Dept. Health, and Ameriquest Mortgage.

He also taught copywriting at Art Center College of Design for many years. Currently teaching at UCLA Extension. Bursky is also the author of two books: The Soup of Something Missing published by Bear Star Press; and The Invention of Fiction, Hollyridge Press.
